Found Online Haunting wise, this is about the only thing I could find that directly relates to the falls:

”The Falls themselves are home to mysterious lights and voices, sometimes screaming in pain. Several people have been killed wandering off the trail onto the slippery rocks. ”

Our Investigation We were at Helen Hunt Falls from 12:30pm - 1:30pm on December 1, 2002. The temp was about 50°F (10°C). What we saw when we arrived, was absolutely beautiful. I've lived in California most of my life and had yet to see a big frozen waterfall in person. There were about four or five families out there that day. Walking up the steep trail wasn't the easiest thing, but the view was quite rewarding at the top. A feeling of loss came over me as I stood at the top of the falls. There were few people climbing the ice wall of the falls and other people around aswell, so no unusual sounds or unexplained voices could be heard.
