Silver Cliff Cemetery, Silver Cliff, CO

There are several places on the web about mysterious lights in various colors over this cemetery.
From what I've read, they are best seen when it is overcast with no moon. It is said even National Geographic did a piece on it
several years ago.
Our Investigation
Date: 08/03/2003.
Time: 5:30pm to 6:00pm
From what I heard, I figured it would be an awesome place to visit. Walking the ground in daylight, we noticed a hole in
the ground about the size of a human foot that went down about a foot in depth. Less then two seconds after stopping, I
felt the ground beginning to give under me as well. I made it to safer ground in a few quick bounds. Nothing particularly
interesting besides that. We walked around for a while taking pictures of various headstones and left about a half hour
later to the cemetery down the road.
Time: 9pm to 11pm
After finding a place to camp for the night, we returned to the cemetery to see if the lights would show. The sky was
completely covered in clouds and the moon was not shining through. There was a few lightening strikes off in the distance,
but no rain. We parked in a couple different places in and out of the cemetery. Before leaving, I figured I would take a
few night shots of the cemetery to see if anything would show in the pictures. We were rather disappointed as we left,
seeing no mysterious lights. Nothing paranormal in the photos either, just some dust orbs. Bummer.
